After School Activity Camp

Our main focus in our after school program is to allow children the opportunity to rest if needed or to work off some steam by providing them with physical literacy options in the form of games, activities, challenges, gymnastics based fitness and some Tumbl Trak fun.

This is not a gymnastics instructional camp. 

For those who wish to take care of some homework, a space is provided along with assistance.

  • Can I register for a PD Day if not in the After School Program?
    PD Days run in conjunction with the After School Program so as long as we have participants in that program, the PD DAY will run. Please call us to see if each PD Day will be running if looking to register.
  • How long will the program run and are there any blackout dates?
    Any blackout dates will coincide with our recreational scheduled holiday closures which can be found on our website when you follow the "Click for more info" button on the Home page .
  • Who is eligible to attend?
    Anyone who has already had their 5th birthday up to the age of 14 years
  • Is there a deadline to apply
    Registration is required at least one week in advance of the required space needed. otherwise registration is ongoing until full at which time a waitlist will be created.
  • What does my child need to bring?
    A water bottle, light snack and a book they would like to read or homework to complete and any personal toys or items they would like to bring. Children will need to be prepared for indoor and outdoor play. In warm weather, we may walk over to the splash pad so children should arrive with a bathing suit, towel, flip flops, sneakers and sunscreen. A dedicated space for all campers is available so some items can be left at the camp such as sneakers, water bottles etc,.
  • How do I register?
    Simply fill out the registration form and send in or drop off in person. Payment can be made via email money transfer, over the phone with credit card or in person. Forms can be sent to gymnationclub@gmail.com along with the EMT.
  • Do I need to pay for the year or can I pay weekly or monthly?
    Parents can sign up their child(ren) for a week o at a time or monthly.
  • Can I withdraw from the program and how do I do that?
    You must contact the office at gymnationclub@gmail.com to let us know two weeks in advance that you no longer require the spot and it will be offered to another child.
  • Is there computer WIFI access for children for homework?
    We do allow access to the WIFI for those who wish to do homework only.
  • What happens if I am delayed at work?
    If someone is delayed picking up their child, we will then need to retain an staff member to wait with them. Late Fees The Camp closes at 6:00, after that parents which have not picked up their child are subject to late fees as follows; 1 & 2 offense $$10 every 15 minutes 3rd & 4th offense $20.00 every 15 minutes 4th & 5th offense $40.00 every 15 minutes 5th + offense $60 every 15 minutes
  • Is there a separate space for quiet time and for activities.
    Yes, activities will take place in the gym while quiet time and homework will be done in the upstairs area.
  • Is there transportation to the club?
    At the moment the Elmsdale Elementary bus stops at the end of our road where a coach will meet the bus and child at the drop off time. Parents will need to provide bus number and stop time to our staff. Currently we are working at securing further transportation for the Fall. If your child comes from the Enfield or Mapleridge school and you are interested in the program, please let us know as it will help us to negotiate for transportation. Community Rider may be an option to be able to get your child to camp.
  • Is there a discount for multiple children?
    Yes, two or more children will receive a 10% discount for the second child and 15% for each additional child.
  • Is there a snack included in the price?
    Yes, we will have non-perishable snacks available each day for whoever requires it as well as water and freezies in the warmer weather.
  • What happens if you have to cancel for any reason?
    The After School Camp will align with the decisions of the schools when it comes to cancellations for inclement weather. If schools close early, the After School Camp will close early as well. Camp does not run during holidays and those are listed on our program brochure.
  • What if my child is sick?
    For the health and safety of all children, if your child is sick they will need to stay home until better. Refunds are not granted.
  • Do I need to sign up for the summer to keep my spot in the fall?
    Short answer is no.... you do not have to stay during the summer but we require a full month payment for September if you will need a spot for your child in the Fall.
